Genevieve Ayala
Singer-Songwriter, Medicine Music, Kirtan, & Sound Journeys
the journey
Born into a family of musicians and artists, Genevieve grew up playing cello from the age of 6 years old, was chosen for the advanced state orchestra in junior high, made the high school show choir and dance team, and learned from her father, who was a music teacher.
She then had experiences that drew her away from music and made her believe that she couldn’t sing, that she had a small vocal range and that she would never be able to overcome her anxieties.
Through deep trauma healing experiences, she returned to music in adulthood, and has since quickly grown in her abilities, experience, and has rediscovered her innate talents.
From leading kirtans regularly, hosting cacao ceremonies of up to 100 people in multiple countries, performing at the Bliss Kirtan Festival in Colorado, singing through intimate ceremonial retreats, and curating medicine music concerts at the StarHouse Temple in Boulder, CO, she loves sharing her heart and soul through song.
Genevieve now leads kirtan, cacao ceremonies, medicine music concerts, and women’s voice activations.
She plays the guitar, harmonium, buffalo drum, and flute, and is a singer-songwriter. 🙂
